An old familiar monster is coming to theaters this May, and he looks bigger and badder than ever.
The new Godzilla trailer hit the Interwebs yesterday and we got a better look at the look and feel of the film -- more than from the Comic Con footage from two years ago, the teaser from this year's Con or the Godzilla Experience -- and it looks beautiful.
The trailer sets the tone for an epic disaster so big that the military are called in, nukes are involved and star Bryan Cranston is openly weeping. Oh, and then there is the massive destruction caused by the movie's namesake (and other monsters?), who is revealed with a recognizable roar at the end of the trailer.
If the rest of the movie directed by Gareth Edwards is as good as the trailer, especially the opening sequence of HALO jumpers skydiving into some serious desolation, then we are in for a monster-sized treat when Godzilla opens next spring.
