Tonight on PBS, I welcome legendary singer-songwriter and two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer David Crosby for his first interview since undergoing heart surgery earlier this year. As a founding member of two pioneering musical groups -- the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young -- Crosby helped create the folk-rock sound. He recently released his first solo album in 20 years, Croz, co-written with one of his sons. Crosby talks with candor about his health, his unique relationship with his oldest son and the perspective he's gained over the course of his 5o-year career.
In the clip below, Crosby shares what he believes is the lifting force in the human condition.
